ABC Challenge: A

A is for...apple!  I know, isn't it so original?  All I could think of was apples, alpacas, and animal print.  I can't draw a llama and I wanted to do something new, so apples it was.

There's a Facebook group called Llama Nails, and the members of this group are currently doing an ABC challenge!  Every Wednesday we're doing nail art for the letter of the week, starting with A this week.  (This is why I'm posting twice today, since the Geo Candy Swirls tutorial was supposed to go up yesterday.)  If you'd like to join in on the challenge, just request to join the group!  Since we're posting our nail art to the group, you don't even need a blog. :)

So here are my apple nails!  Haha, I think it's bit of a fail, because I did it really quickly.  Do they look like apples?  I think they look like ripe and unripe tomatoes. x)

Base: Skin Food Fruit Drink Nail in #9 Rose Cocktail
Glitter: Milani Jewel Fx in Gold
Red: Zoya Rekha
Green apple: Sinful Colors Olympia
Leaves: China Glaze Starboard
Stem: Julep Olivia

Hope you liked my weird apple-tomato hybrid nails!  You can also check out other blogs participating in this challenge by clicking on the links below. :)

Geometric Candy Swirls Tutorial

Finally, after hours and hours of struggling with my internet, I present you the tutorial for my Geometric Candy Swirls mani.  I wanted to get this up yesterday, but my internet decided to have a meltdown.  So today, I ran over to the library and finished editing in record time.  It didn't even take me an hour!  To think I spent hours yesterday pulling my hair out. T__T  Well, let's get to it!

Geometric Candy Swirls ♥

Polishes used:
Nicole by OPI Kim-pletely In Love
L.A. Colors Electric Charge
Pure Ice Platinum Magic Base Coat (white)

What do you think?  Doesn't this just remind you of cotton candy and striped candy?  I wish you could see the blue shimmer peeping out from Kim-pletely In Love.  It's the icing on the cake!

Let me know if you want a tutorial for this look! :)

Agh, my eyes x_x

Something about these pics really messes with my eyes.  It feels like my eyes are trying to focus on every single sparkling detail.  I can't wait to hit publish just so I can stop looking at them!  Haha.  I swear this layering combo did not have that effect on me in real life.  Maybe I'm just tired... (**Edit: I took down the exposure by several notches.  It should be better now, but that was weird.  This has never happened to me before, and I've seen my share of blindingly shiny nails!)

This is the Butter London Black Knight I showed you a few days ago with 2 coats of Butter London Tart with a Heart layered over it.  I got the two together as a cute dressing table duo last winter, so I thought I'd pair them together.  I kind of really like how Black Knight looks on its own though.  I don't know, what do you think?

Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend! ♥
