Mmm...I love this stuff!
Let me introduce you to Lemony Flutter, cuticle butter. Doesn't it just sound great? My sis got this for me over the holidays and I love it to pieces.
Lemony Flutter can be found in that great smelling store, Lush. It's $14.95 for a 1.5oz tub, which is expensive! But, it's not as small as I thought it would be. As you can see it's roughly the size of my palm. Please note, however, that my hand is on the small side. But I still think it's a decent amount, especially since I'll be using it solely on my cuticles.
I've also noticed that you only need a small amount for all 10 cuticles as it is very creamy. I've used it a couple times now, and it still looks like it did when it was brand new. So I'm guessing this will last me at least a year. It's also does a good job of keeping my cuticles moisturized. I haven't had dry cuticles since I've used this and I don't use it on a daily basis either. I use it more like once a week, or after removing glitter, since I use the foil method.
As you've probably guessed, it does have a lemony scent. I don't think it's particularly strong, but it does linger for a bit. I don't mind though, since I like the smell. Lush also uses a lot of natural ingredients like avocados, beeswax, and you guessed it, lemons. You can read more about this product here.
If you haven't tried it before, I suggest checking it out in stores. There should be a sample tub in store you can try. I believe you can also ask for a sample size to try back at home.
Let me know in the comments if you've used this before, and what you thought of it! If you haven't, is this a product you would buy?

Wow that's far! I haven't tried Burts Bees cuticle butter before, but I believe Lemony Flutter's scent is a bit more tart? I personally like the smell, but I know it's a turn off for some, so I definitely recommend trying it out before investing in the whole pot. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI've used this for over a year now, at least twice or three times a week, and the tube is still more than half full! so it's well worth it!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Lemony Flutter! I *think* I had nice cuticles even before purchasing mine (because I'm so OCD about them, applying oil and lotion several times a day), so I can't personally comment on its *magic* effects... But! Over the holidays I made sure that my mum and aunt (both of whom suffer from dry cuticles and always seem to get hangnails) applied it 3x per day on their cuticles. My aunt totally fell in love with it, and before travelling back to Tanzania where she is on assignment, she went and purchased her own little tub of LF. :3 Oh, and I've had my own LF for almost a year now, and I have just *now* made a significant dent in the product - this stuff will last a few more good years on me (as long as I store it properly).
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this but the closest store is 2.5 hours away! :(
ReplyDeleteI'll stick with my Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream until my next Chicago trip. How does the scent compare to the BB? I LOVE the smell of lemon!!
Definitely will ;0)
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think once you try it! I do recommend asking for a sample before investing in the whole pot. It seems like it doesn't work as well for some, or they are put off by the smell.
ReplyDeleteOh, woops! Thanks for pointing that out! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! It does take surprisingly little for all 10 fingers. :P
ReplyDeleteI haven't used it, but many people have raved about it. I plan to get it very soon. Thanks for sharing ;0)
ReplyDeleteLemony Flutter is great. Unfortunately it's not quite all natural, as it contains paraben, but it has a ton of awesome ingredients :D
ReplyDeletei love this stuff. ive had mine since september and it still looks brand new!
