I recently got some polishes from OPI's Nicki Minaj collection and I'm super excited to show you them all. I basically got everything but the bubblegum pink and the chartreuse/lime since I don't really care for those. Today I have for you Fly and Save Me. :)
Fly, 3 thin coats. The formula is a dream to work with and I could've gotten away with 2 coats with careful application. Although the color isn't really unique, I'm a sucker for teals, so I had to have it. My pictures make it look more blue, but it's a bit more of a greener teal with a dusty quality to it. I didn't really understand how a color this bright could be dusty, but you'll see once you get it in your hands.
Save Me, 1 coat layered over Fly. Save Me has fine silver glitter and holographic bar glitter. The bar glitters lie flat on the nail and with 1-2 coats of top coat it'll smooth out all the glitters. I personally really like this as a top coat. I don't think I would use it alone, but I'm sure you can fake opacity by layering it over an opaque silver glitter or a silver foil. Also the bar glitters don't look hairy in my opinion. Instead they look like little colorful lasers pulsing across your nail. I love that one bar glitter is composed of a pretty gradient of colors. It kind of reminds me of this scene from Super Bass, even though it's not named after it.

ReplyDeleteHey Elle! I'm not sure how Save Me compares to other holo bar glitters, but it also has fine silver glitter. You can always take a look at it in stores to help make up your mind. :)

ReplyDeleteHmm, your swatches make Save Me more appealing than the swatches I saw earlier today. Maybe it's just plain growing on me... I already have holo bar glitters, though!

ReplyDeleteI have these two and I'm so in love with Fly!!! I also picked up Pink Friday and believe me, you didn't miss anything. The formula wasn't that great. Also the color didn't impress me once it was on.
