Born Pretty Store Review: Sticker Decals, Foil & Chains (Picture Heavy)

Hey guys!  Today's post is jam packed with pictures, so be prepared!  I have several different nail art looks to show you.  I think you'll like them. :)

This first look was done with embossed gold nail decals*.  These are stickers and they actually have really good staying power.  Just make sure the edges are down and cover with top coat.  Once you do that, these won't budge or peel off on you.  I think it gives your mani an elegant touch and it only takes seconds to do.  Here I'm wearing it on my tips over Butter London Sunbaker.

Here's another example of the gold stickers shown over Milani Almond Bliss.  This time I placed them diagonally over a creme base.  Very simple!

This second look was done with several items from BPS.  I like to think of it as a simplified, almost deconstructed, version of the galaxy mani.  The item I'm holding above is a container carrying a roll of shiny pink to purple foil*.  The pink fades into the purple like a gradient, so it provides a nice effect on the nail.  The foil itself is very easy to use, but may take a bit of practice.  After applying my base color, Milani Blue Jay, I simply dabbed clear nail polish to places where I wanted to apply the foil.  Once the polish got tacky, I gently rubbed the foil onto my nail.  The final result - lovely shiny flecks!

After that, I dabbed OPI Which is Witch (a holo top coat) onto the remaining empty spaces.  Finally I used these 2mm gold studs* (also shown in this blog post) to represent the bigger stars.

If you're wondering why my bottle of Which is Witch is not in an OPI bottle, it's because the previous actually came without a brush.  It seemed like a waste to throw it out, so I dumped it into an empty bottle and added a chock full of thinner (it had dried up).  Now it's good as new! :)

Finally, the last look for today: chains!  For some reason silver chains make me think of punk rock nails, and I wanted to do something a bit more refined while still using a dark base color.  This is what I came up with and liked it a lot!  I think it would great on all the nails as well. ^^

To get this look, simply paint your nails with a dark blue like OPI Incognito In Sausalito.  Then place three SS5 Swarovski crystals across your nail in equal distances (see another mani using these same crystals).  Next, cut two small lengths from a silver nail art chain*.  Place these so that they create a curved link from one crystal to the other.  Finally, add some sparkle to your tips with a holo glitter top coat (OPI Which is Witch).  The end result should a stunning, sparkly accent nail. :)

If you'd like to see how these chains look over a light base color, check out the first picture in this post.

All of the nail art items shown in this post can be found at BornPrettyStore.com*.  Be sure to use this coupon code F10X31 to receive 10% off your entire order.  I've never had trouble ordering from BPS and they always offer free worldwide shipping - which is awesome because their prices are so cheap to begin with! :D

Wow, this was a super long post!  Let me know which look is your favorite in the comments below. :)
