Pure Ice Vinyl Remix Collection Swatches

Hey all!  Today I have for you the Pure Ice Vinyl Remix collection.  These are new crackle duos that apply color to your base as they crackle.  Each duo comes with a colored crackle and a white base.

As you can see, it comes in the colors yellow, green, orange, and purple.  Since it's first release, two new colors in pink and blue have also been added.  While these are fun to use on their own, the intent is to mix it up to create hassle free nail art!  All you have to do is just swipe different colored crackles in fun shapes across your nail to get a look like this:

Like all crackles, these dry matte as shown in the pictures above.  I personally like it matte because it has a sketched/graffiti look; however, you can also add top coat for a glossy vinyl record look.  Take a look below:

These were really fun and easy to use!  It's actually a really simple concept, since the crackles have a colored tint mixed in with them.  As the crackle cracks, the tint comes through against the white base.  So technically you can use any white polish base.  However, since these are sold as duos, you might as well use the white polishes they come with.  I think that's the downside, since these are more fun when used with many colors.  If I were to own all 6 colors, I'd have 6 white polishes lying around!  For me, though, this isn't a deal-breaker.  The white polish is actually really nice.  It's streak free and opaque in two coats.  I use a lot of white polish for nail art, so I don't mind having a few on hand.

Overall, these are nice "spin" (pun intended) on crackle polishes- a very fresh take on the trend.  What do you think of these?  Do you like them matte or shiny?

You should be able to find these at Walmart now.  I'm not sure how much they retail for, but Pure Ice is a budget friendly brand, so I'm sure they won't break the bank.  If you've seen these in Walmart and know how much they retail for, please let me know in the comments!  I'll update this post accordingly. :)
