Zoya Fall 2013 PixieDust Collection Review
Hey all! I'm back with some pretty polishes to show you! Today's polishes are from Zoya's fall texture collection. It has a lot of beautiful, bold colors in it, so I think you'll like it. :)
Dhara, 2 coats: bright orange jelly texture with very fine gold glitter. It's not too different from the other orange jelly textures out there, but it's a bit darker and more pigmented. It covers very well and flows flawlessly onto the nail.
Arabella, 2 coats: deep fuchsia jelly texture with very fine silver glitter. The silver glitter tends to get layered under the jelly base, making it look like pink sparkles. The formula was excellent and this was easily one of my faves from the collection.
Carter, 3 coats: sheer dark purple jelly texture with very fine fuchsia/pink glitter. This one is so pretty! The formula was great as well, but I needed 3 coats since it has a sheerer base than the other jelly textures.
Sunshine, 2 coats: denim blue creme texture with very fine silver glitters. The formula was a little thick on this one, but still very manageable. It's also very opaque, so if you have shorter nails, you may be able to get away with one coat. :)
Chita, 2 coats: forest green creme texture with very fine gold glitter. This shade of green is stunning! I feel like my pictures don't really do it justice. Like Sunshine, the formula on this was a bit thick. I thought it was still manageable, but I did have to wait longer between coats to keep it from dragging.
Tomoko, 3 coats: clear based texture with very fine white gold glitters. So luxe! Because it has a clear base, it did need three coats to reach opacity. However, the formula is superb and dries very quickly - making it easy to reach three coats in no time.
Verdict: I haven't tried a PixieDust collection I haven't liked, and this one gets a big thumbs up from me as well. While the creme textures were a little thick, the other polishes were thin and easy to apply. My personal favorites are Arabella, Carter, and Chita.
Availability: You can purchase this entire collection at Zoya.com* for $54 or purchase individual shades for $9 each. Zoya polishes can also be found in stores at Ulta.
What are your thoughts on Zoya's fall PixieDust line? Will you be getting any? :)
