[Review+Swatch] Zoya Naturel Satins Ana

Quick and simple swatch today! :) This is Ana from Zoya's new satin finish collection for Spring 2015. The collection features soft, muted colors to flawlessly transition you from winter to spring. The satin finish is described as a "hybrid between matte and glossy polishes and is not intended to be worn with a top coat." I believe the finish is similar to those labeled vinyl or rubber from other brands.

Ana, 4 coats: a "light toasted almond cream" satin. Mine applied a little unevenly, but was passable at 3 coats. I did an additional coat for pictures. I've seen reviews stating opacity at two coats however, so maybe mine was a dud? With that said, I found dry time to be perfect: slow enough to take your time applying, but fast enough to move onto the next coat. The polish levels nicely as it dries, and I think it's best applied in medium coats.

I was in the mood for something Valentine's Day inspired that wasn't too obvious, so I grabbed my MoYou London Fashionista 08 plate and stamped the same design across all my nails using Barielle Barefoot In Bermuda. I skipped top coat to maintain the satin finish. I think it kind of reminds me of scrapbook paper. ^^

Verdict: Overall, I'm a fan of the satin finish and can't wait to try the others from this collection.

Availability: The Zoya Naturel Satins collection is currently available at Zoya.com for $9 each.

[Review+Swatch] Barielle Velvets for Spring 2014

Hi guys! Today I'm reviewing one of Barielle's new spring 2014 collections! The Velvets is comprised mostly of soft colors that would look perfect for spring. Even the brighter colors have a dusty feel to them.

The other Barielle collection is Spring Vibrants, which I'll be posting soon. I'm actually wearing a few of the colors now, so if you're curious you can check out my Instagram here. :)

[Swatch+Review] Barielle Banana Drop, Satin Glow, & Blue Cotton Candy

Hi guys! Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. Mine was super cold, and it's currently snowing again. I wish it would be spring already! Unfortunately, that won't be for a few more months. In the meantime, I've been enjoying these lovely colors from Barielle.

Banana Drop, 3 coats: pastel yellow creme. Most pale yellows aren't very flattering on me, but this one looked okay! It was a tiny bit streaky, but the third coat evened it out just fine. It was fairly easy to apply and has a smooth, shiny finish. I wore mine with base coat and didn't have any staining either.

Satin Glow, 3 coats: sheer, warm pink crelly with gold shimmer. First off, I really love shimmery creme-jellies, and this one is no exception. It's a bit sheer, but builds up nicely in three coats. It's also a little slow to dry, but expected for this finish. (Think Nicole by OPI Kim-pletely In Love, Sinful Colors Cinderella, Essence Grey-t To Be Here.)

Blue Cotton Candy, 2 coats: teal blue with silver shimmer. I love this one. It reminds me of Cult Nails Let Me Fly, but lighter and dustier. The formula was excellent, as was the opacity. Dry time was good as well.

Verdict: I'm glad I got to try all three of these. None of them were disappointing and lived up to my expectations in both color and consistency.

Availability: Barielle polishes are 5-free and are available for purchase at barielle.com for $8 each.

Barielle Elle's Spell + Falling Star Review

Hey all!  Today I have two gorgeous Barielle polishes I've been lemming for some time now. :)

Elle's Spell, 3 coats: red jelly base with red to green flakies.  I love how the flakies add a pretty glow to the red polish.  I think it's also sheer enough that you could layer it over other reds and purples.  No problems with the formula either.

Falling Star, 2 coats: dusty periwinkle base with fine copper glitters.  The glitters are actually square, but you can't tell because they're so small.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I love blue and copper combinations, so this is right up my alley.  The formula was excellent and the polished flowed on in two even coats

Verdict:  I loved wearing both of these polishes!  They were easy to apply and the colors are undeniably beautiful.

Availability:  You can purchase these at The Beauty Clutch for $6.50 each, but they're currently on sale for $5. :)  Be sure to follow The Beauty Clutch on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest for more on their current promotions and polishes.

Barielle Buddha-ful

Buddha-ful, 2 coats over OPI I Theodora You: sheer pink base with green to blue flakies.  I love how soft and pretty this looks!  The base is pretty sheer, so it doesn't seem to reach opacity on its own.  However, it should look great over any sheer pinks or nudes.  The flakies in this are generally green, but at extreme angles you can see the shift to blue.  Formula-wise, it was thin and very easy to apply.

Availability
Barielle Buddha-ful is available for purchase at The Beauty Clutch for $6.50.  However, they're currently holding a sale, so all of their Barielle polishes are now $5!  I haven't looked through the entire site, but their OPIs and Essies are also on sale.  Definitely give them a visit to see what else they offer. :)
