Butter London All Hail The Queen

All Hail The Queen (aka All Hail McQueen), 3 coats: medium beige brown with holographic and red shimmer.  AHTQ is opaque in 2 coats, but I did 3 for pics.  It has exceptional formula and glides on flawlessly.  The holographic particles are very finely milled and only come alive in the sun.  They sparkle like multicolored shimmer rather than creating any prisms.

You can also see this gorgeous red shimmer at certain angles.  It was really hard to capture, but you can see it best on my ring finger (where the light hits it).  I would say the above pic is the most accurate.  It's a bit darker in real life.

Do you own All Hail The Queen?  What are your thoughts on it?

OPI Germany: Neutrals Can Be Fun Too!

If you're like me, you might associate nudes and neutrals with the words "plain" and "boring."  Even when I like a neutral polish, I can't bear to wear it for more two days before I'm itching to wear something more exciting.  Playing off the skittles trend, here's a way to spice up your neutral manis. :)

The great thing about neutrals is that there's really no limit to the combination of colors you can use.  It will generally look very put together, even if you use all different colors.  For the look above, I used the three neutrals from OPI's Germany collection.

FYI You Don't Want to Miss This

China Glaze FYI, 3 coats.  FYI is light beige with a strong linear holographic finish.  I don't think this one gets enough love from the OMG collection.  It's really lovely and is a good neutral look for me.  Best for those days when you want to your nails to stand out without being too loud.

What do you think?  Do you think this could be a work appropriate color?  Or is the holo too much?  Let me know in the comments!

Fast Track to Jewels

Fast Track, 2 coats.  Fast Track is a greyed out beige with gold flecks of shimmer.  It's cool-toned and a bit darker than I expected.  I wish it was lighter and warmer!  It's still a nice neutral, and I love the shimmer in it, but it's not the most flattering shade for my warm skin tone.  So I decided to spice it up with some warm colored jewels to counter the coolness.  Overall, it kind of reminds me of jewels embedded in sand.  In fact, Fast Track looks oddly like wet sand, especially because of the gold flecks.

Do you own Fast Track?  What are your thoughts on it?  Let me know in the comments! :)
