Urban Outfitters Smush & Lace Nail Accent

I don't know why but there's something nostalgic about this picture.  I know I'm weird.

Say hi to Urban Outfitter polish no.3 - Smush.  Here's I'm wearing 3 coats, which is how many coats it took to be opaque.  Like UO UV, it was a tad bit streaky, but nothing difficult to deal with.  I think you can get away with 2 coats if you're careful.  I recommend using 3 medium or 2 thick coats.

In terms of color, Smush is a pretty mint green.  My pictures make it look blue but it's a mint.  But wait, we've seen a great many mints.  The more I looked at it, the more it reminded me of a slightly bluer version of Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet.  Since I didn't have Mint Sorbet with me, I frantically searched the web to check if they were dupes.  Turns out they're not.  You can read the comparison post by alovetart by clicking here.  But basically, Smush is the bluer mint and is a dupe for Essie Mint Candy Apple.  Mint Sorbet is a greener mint and is closer to Revlon Minted.  I also believe Mint Sorbet is a dupe for China Glaze Refresh-mint.

On my ring finger, I used 2 coats of Essie Splash of Grenadine, then painted a curved tip with 2 coats of Smush.  With a white nail art brush and dotting tool, I hand painted the lace.  Overall, it was very easy to do and took very little time, but looked great on the nail.  I think it kind of looks sweet and romantic.

What do you think of Smush and the lace accent?  Are you a fan of mint polish?  Let me know in the comments. :)
