Milani Retro Glam Swatches
Hey all! Milani recently came out with two new collections. If you missed my first review, you can find it here. In this post, I'm showing you the second collection, Retro Glam. :)
Strawberry Shake, 3 coats: light pink creme. This color actually has some shimmer in it, but once it becomes opaque it disappears. Top coat will help make it just barely visible, but for the most part it looks like a creme. Formula-wise, it was thin and a tiny bit streaky. However, the third coat will even everything out.
Raspberry Delight, 2 coats: delicious bright pink creme. Ooh what to say? Not only is this color super pigmented, it's also a pleasure to use. The formula is thin and spreads easily in two smooth coats.
Creamy Pistachio, 3 coats: pistachio green creme. The names seems to be on point for this one. I found Creamy Pistachio a little thicker than the others and in need of a longer drying time.
Mint Chip, 3 coats: bright green creme. This was actually good to go in two coats, but I did three for pictures. The formula was fairly good and applied in smooth, even coats without too much trouble.
Almond Bliss, 3 coats: almond creme - just like the name! Almond was really what came to mind when I was applying this (before I saw the name). It's on the sheerer side, but covers well in three coats. The consistency of this polish was similar to Creamy Pistachio.
Sprinkles, 1 coat over Mint Chip: clear-based black and white glitter polish. The hex glitters range from very fine to extra large. There are also black bar glitters as well. This is an excellent glitter top coat. It covers easily in one coat and the glitters are all very well behaved. No placing or multiple coats necessary!
Verdict: The cremes as a whole ranged from average to excellent formulas. As for the glitter polish, I thought it was superb. If you're in need of a black and white glitter fix, I would highly recommend getting Sprinkles.
Availability: This collection is available at select CVS and Meijer stores during the month of August. Please note that some stores might put up the collections before August. You can also find this collection online at www.milanicosmetics.com.
