Lately I've been wanting to do something super sparkly and jewel-like. So here's what I came up with.
For this look I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors Black on Black as the base. For my accent finger, I used some rhinestone stickers that came with my Milani nail art polish. I also painted over some of them to make them the colors I wanted them to be. I tried to peel the back off and paint the back, but they're so tiny it was hard and time consuming. I also covered the remaining space with Milani Gems. It's so bulky that it's not really an every day look, but it did it did help satisfy some of my sparkle craving.
Do you ever get the sudden desire to go all out on your nails with glitter and rhinestones? How do you get rid of your craving for sparkle? Let me know in the comments!
Also, if you are having trouble finding the GFC widget to follow this blog it may just be acting up. It's supposed to be under my profile under the label 'Polished Pretties'. One of the things you can do is try switching browsers. A follower let me know that the box showed up in Google Chrome, although it was missing on Firefox. If it still doesn't show up, I apologize for the inconvenience. It's really out of my control, so you will just have to check back on a different day.
And I've been receiving a few FFAN submissions for this week. If you would like to join in on the fun, this is just a little reminder! :)
Alright, I'm out.

WOW! I love the way this looks. Do the rhinestones adhere easily? I feel like I'd be so afraid of bumping them into things.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Shel! :)
ReplyDeleteThey stayed on well for about a day. I used two coats of Seche Vite over it, and it lasted even through some dish washing. The reason it lasted one day is, throughout the entire day I kept picking at it. I couldn't help it! >.< Of course when one finally fell off, there was no restraint.
ReplyDeleteThey stayed on pretty well. I also used two coats of Seche Vite over it to keep it in place, and they stayed on even while washing the dishes. Unfortunately, I couldn't help but pick at them, so eventually they fell off...one by one. :P
ReplyDeleteThank you Ina! :)
