This a teaser, because I can't wait to share this mani with you! So this is for you to look at until I get the post up.
Any guesses on which polishes I used? ;) I tried to crop out the bottle, but I'm sure you can guess one of them. :P
P.S.
What should I call this mani? I can't think of anything that doesn't sound lame -_- I'll use the one I like the most as the title of the next one if you leave suggestions in the comment. ^^

Sephora by OPI: If You've Got It, Haunt It
Hi all :)
This is the second polish I promised to review. $OPI If You've Got It, Haunt It is from the limited edition 2010 Halloween collection. It has a sheer charcoal base packed with silver micro glitter. It also has fine black and multi-colored glitter. The consistency of the polish is a bit gloopy because it has to hold onto all the glitter. I used to shy away from this polish because it wouldn't come off! But I tried out the foil-method and it just slipped off. So now I don't mind using it. :) The finish is rough, so if you want it to be smooth you'll have to use tons of top coat. I personally don't mind. I used two coats, but it was a tad bit sheer. I would recommend two thick coats or three thin ones.
I wanted to freshen it up the next day, so I decided to experiment with Zoya Faye.

Mostly the gold shimmer in Faye stood out, but there was still that brownish purple tint left. I think it provided a nice contrast that is a bit more complex than what a normal gold would have given it.
At certain angles you can see the purple more. It did have a bit of a reddish hue, although not as much as this picture implies.
Overall, I thought this was a nice combo. What do you think?

| Sorry, this is the only pic I had of it alone. So yes I re-used it from the last post. |

Stylish Blogger Award
If you haven't seen my tweet, I just figured out how to see people's tweets directed at me. So if I haven't been responding...it's because I'm stupid. -_- I never really got into the whole twitter thing, but wanted to keep up with other nail bloggers real time so that's why I made one recently. -_- I promise to respond from now on.
So...I was reading through all my @mentions and noticed that I was given the Stylish Blogger Award! So I'd like to thank Cindy from Nail'd & Polish'd for giving me this award. :) Don't forget to check out her site. I enjoy reading her reviews and looking through her swatches, and I'm sure you will too! Since I did my 10 facts a few days ago, I don't think you want to know that much more about me. You might find me too weird. :P So I'll keep this one short and simple.
Here are the rules to the award:
1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers.
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award
7 facts about me:
- My favorite color is blue. It changes sometimes, but I always revert back to blue. This is also my favorite polish color to wear. :)
- I like to skip the last step when going down the stairs.
- I hate talking on the phone because my voice sounds really nasally.
- I love post-it notes! Especially ones in pretty colors.
- I'm deathly afraid of bugs.
- My favorite flowers are peach roses.
- I'm very sensitive to any violence, blood, and gore on tv or in films...which basically means it's hard for me to watch anything. -_-
I tagged a lot of people last post and I don't have too many people to tag. So I'd like to tag the two people who tagged me for the Creativ Blogger Award. :)
Ruxi from Une Ruxi à Paris and Cristina from Opinionated Little Finger

OPI Teenage Dream & Black Shatter
Happy Mother's Day! I think all mothers should just relax today and get treated to a mani and pedi. Although they certainly deserve more than that. :)
And finally here's the post I promised 3 days ago! But to be fair, I've been taking pics of this baby for 3 days. I finally got a lot of sunshine yesterday, so I was able to get some nice shots. However, the holo glitter refused to sparkle in my pics! It was clearly sparkling on my nails, but when I'd take the pic it wouldn't show up. :( So you'll just have to trust me on this one. It sparkles like crazy.
This one's an indoor pic showing 3 coats of Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry collection. As you saw in my previous pic, Teenage Dream is a bit sheer, but it builds up nicely in 3 coats. This polish has a clear pink base with pink micro glitter and medium holo glitter. Overall, it's a sparkly light pink polish. I think one coat of TD would look very sweet and girly over a classic french. The ring and pinkie has black shatter over it. The shatter dries matte, so I put top coat only on the pinkie to show you the different finishes. And here are my lovely sun pics:
There was some nice holo effect going on in the bottle, so here's a bottle pic as well. :)
I hope you enjoyed this post! It was tough picking pictures. I'm still wearing this, which is the longest I've worn the same mani in a long while. So yes, I really love this. :)
Well, enjoy the rest of this beautiful Sunday!

Kreativ Blogger Award
I'm really thankful to know that despite being a fairly new blogger I am recognized by other nail bloggers and have consistent readers. Thank you to you all! I truly appreciate each and every follow and comment you leave. I also already have 84 followers, and it has only been about 1.5 months since I began this blog! Which means it was only about 1.5 months ago when I jumped around in excitement for having 5 followers. :) So you know what this means. ;) I'll be holding a giveaway once I reach 100 followers! Hopefully this giveaway will also be international. ^^ So that is something to look forward to.
Now on to the award! I'd first like to thank both Ruxi from Une Ruxi à Paris and Cristina from Opinionated Little Finger for giving me this award. If you aren't following their blogs, you are missing out! They have amazing pictures and reviews, so please check them out. :)
And here are my 10 facts about me:

| He is concentrating hard on a ball I'm about to throw. ^^ |
- I didn't wear nail polish regularly on my nails until recently!
- I have a cute little dog named Max. He's a cunning four year old Havanese dog who loves treats. That's him on the side.
- I'm Korean-American and was born in Wisconsin, although I wasn't raised there. I'm Korean by blood, but most people (including asians) don't think I look Korean.
- I love reading and writing! One of my goals is to get a book published, but I also enjoy writing poems.
- I can't go up and down the stairs without looking at the steps.
- I'm an English major! I was hesitant to write that because I usually post before editing my writing. So if you see any mistakes, pretend you don't! I eventually go back and fix them, but when I write on here I tend to get lost in the polish world. This might render sloppy writing due to me getting overly excited about whatever polish I'm reviewing. ^^;
- Right now I'm pursuing a career in elementary education, but I'd love to set up my own restaurant or bakery one day. It sounds so fun, and I enjoy both cooking and baking.
- I eat my sandwiches and burgers in a circle. Basically I bite, turn, bite, turn so that all the edges have been bitten.
- My boyfriend says the word "nail polish" to me when I'm "mad" at him. It makes me smile. I have no logical reason for this.
- My favorite Disney movies are Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. I want Belle's gigantic library!

China Glaze: Flying Dragon (Neon)
Hi! It's late and I'm studying for a final. I know I promised a post today (technically yesterday), so I'm taking a break to post this. Better late than never, right?
Unfortunately, there wasn't much sun today and my indoor pics of OPI Teenage Dream with shatter weren't looking so great. So I repainted the four fingers I photograph with 3 coats of Teenage Dream for better coverage and re did the black shatter. I think it looks better the second time around. Hopefully there will be more sun tomorrow so that I can show you better pics!
So instead I'm showing you CG Flying Dragon instead. I already had these edited and watermarked, so here's my quick post. :)
Flying dragon is a neon purple packed with fine blue and purple glitters. The polish is a neon, so it is a tad bit streaky, but it evens out nicely with additional coats. I believe this is 3 coats. It's been a while sorry. It might be two, but I want to say three. The polish dries matte, so the glitter gives it a slightly bumpy-ish texture when it dries. It reminds me of dragon skin! (In a good way.) I used clear polish on the tips, which made it a darker glossier shade and really brought out the glitter, especially the purples. I liked both finishes, which is why I didn't use top coat for the whole nail. I think next time I'll put on top coat and then do matte tips. I think I prefer the glossier finish because it brings out the glitter. Here are some more pics.
Well, back to studying for me! Hope you enjoy this post, and I can't wait to show you Teenage Dream tomorrow (hopefully.)

NOTD & Update
Hi! Sorry I haven't updated in like a week, and I missed Pink Wednesday too! :( May is not a fun time for a college student. *sigh* Thought I'd just share what I've been up to (besides finals and 12 page papers), so I guess this post will have more of a personal touch.
Last Tuesday was the 100th day anniversary for me and my bf, so he sent me flowers! This wasn't the first time, but it was the biggest yet, so I was pleasantly surprised. ^^
He also got me OPI Teenage Dream and Black Shatter, which I've been lemming. I know I didn't run out and get those when they came out, but I've been meaning to. I'm currently wearing this combo right now, because it actually came in the mail today. It was supposed to come last Tuesday, but there were some problems with shipping. So I'm actually getting another set free! Not sure if I'll be swapping those or giving them away. We shall see. ;)
These were taken in weak, indirect sunlight coming in through the window, so they're not the best pics. I'll snap more pics outside tomorrow to show you the amazing holo and glitter. I also should've done another coat of Teenage Dream, but I was too excited and wanted to see it with the shatter right away. Doesn't look nearly as sheer in person though.
The day after our anniversary was his birthday, so I made a surprise late night meal for him. I'd post pics, but I forget to take pics after plating it. Basically, I made kimchi fried rice rolls wrapped in bacon, whisked egg rolls, and some veggies on the side. I made this off the top of my head, so I was glad they were edible. The bf said they were good, but who knows. :P
Since we couldn't really celebrate our anniversary and his bday, he celebrated this past Sunday. I treated him to a late birthday dinner at a Japanese restaurant. We had soup, salad, duck spring rolls, and sushi, which was pretty good since we're in the middle of cornfields. -_-
For this dinner, I went with the less conventional date shade...grey/silver. I did think about wearing some thing pink and red, but settled on this. It's $OPI If You've Got It, Haunt It, which was the first polish the bf has bought me. He likes it when I wear it, so I chose it over the pinks.
So, that's all the fun stuff that's been happening in my life in a nutshell. Hopefully I'll be able to post a bit more, especially during the weekend. After that I might be MIA again, since it's finals week for me.
Anyhow, sorry there wasn't much nail stuff in this post. But I hope you enjoyed this more personal post too. I'll be reviewing the $OPI and OPI polishes featured in this post in more detail tomorrow, so don't forget to drop by! :)
