[Review+Swatch] Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Collection
Hi guys! Today I'm showing you the entire Carrie Underwood collection from Nicole by OPI!
American As Apple Pie, 1 coat: classic red creme with subtle shimmer running through it. So pretty! These types of reds are favorite. Both formula and coverage are superb.
Some Hearts, 2 coats: bright coral creme. Application was smooth, and the overall finish is shiny.
Party Bus, 1 coat: silver holographic glitter top coat with a clear base. The glitter consists of multi-sized hexes and large blossom glitters. The flower glitters require a bit of fishing, but the other glitters apply easily enough.
Color Me Country, 3 coats: warm-toned hot pink creme. My pictures show this color as a blue-based pink, but it actually has a lot more yellow in it. I love this one! I wish my pictures were more accurate, because I have to admit these are a bit off.
Carnival Cotton Candy, 2 coats: light pink creme.
Love My Pups, 3 coats: milky pink creme-jelly. This is the sheerest out of this collection, but still covered well in three medium coats. If you use thinner coats, you may need four.
Sing You Like A Bee, 1 coat over Love My Pups: pale golden shimmer flecks in a clear base. It's similar to China Glaze White Cap and OPI Ski Slope Sweetie, but they're not quite dupes. OPI's has a milky white base and a fine gold sheen that can wash out darker colors when layered. ChG's is close but the flecks are much more sparse on the first coat. SYLAB is the perfect middle ground with it's clear base and dense (almost opaque) flecks. It's also grittier than the other two, so top coat is a good idea.
Sweet Daisy, 3 coats: light peach creme. So pretty! I needed a third coat to even it out, but otherwise it was great.
Lips Are Dripping Honey, 2 coats: multi-sized gold holo glitter in a clear base. The glitters applied evenly and easily. No problems to report!
Southern Charm, 3 coats: light tan creme. It's a bit sheer, but more opaque than Love My Pups.
Carrie'd Away, 2 coats over Southern Charm: opaque gold glitter in a clear base. I layered it over the tan creme, but it definitely didn't need it. It's a full coverage glitter and should stand well on it's own.
Goodbye Shoes, 2 coats: dusty teal-grey creme. It has a lot of green in it, which I love. The formula was great and the finish is super glossy. *drool*
Fisher Queen, 3 coats: dark eggplant purple with fine red shimmer.
Backstage Pass, 2 coats: dark brown with fine red shimmer. Another favorite! This one is so glowy and gorgeous.
Verdict: Love! Not all of the colors are very unique, but they're all very nice. On top of that, there are also some unique shades in here. My favorites are Sing You Like A Bee, Carrie'd Away, Goodbye Shoes, and Backstage Pass. I'm also a fan of the pinks, even if they aren't the most unique.
Availability: This limited edition collection is now available for $7.99 each at retailers including select CVS, Duane Reade, HEB, Kroger, Kmart, Ulta, Walmart, Fred Meyer, Meijer, and Harmon locations. In Canada, these shades will be available for $10.99 each at Shoppers Drug Mart, Target Canada, Walmart Canada, Jean Coutu, London Drug, and Loblaws.
